about
As said on the front page, Kokoro no Chizu, preformed by the girl group BOYSTYLE (lol, irony), is the fifth intro to the hit anime One Piece (and first to be shown in HD). It ran from episode 207 to episode 263--otherwise known as the episodes featuring the Davy Back Fight arc, with fillers and fillers following, the introduction of the myseriously cool Aoikiji and the very start of the Water 7 arc... and the snippits in the animation for the intro include that. (So if you haven't seen the anime or read the manga, beware of spoilers!) BOYSTYLE has also released a music video, which is set both on a grassy plain and in the desert, and has an especially adorable ending. :3

The song itself actually has a wonderful sense of presense. With the clear, well-blended voices of BOYSTYLE to the guitars and uses of effects and even a trumpet and (what are probably) castanets, simply put the song is just plain inspiring. Kokoro no Chizu is very charming and whimisical, and I find it very hard to listen to it when upset and not feel almost if not completely better afterwards--it is very uplifting and just makes you smile. Kokoro no Chizu is definitely a song that fits the tone of One Piece.
